Application of these Conditions
These Conditions apply to use of this website and are the Terms and Conditions on which we will supply any of the products to you and by proceeding further and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the Conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by them, you should leave this Website now.
When using the website, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on the website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
You may obtain further information about your statutory rights by contacting your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
Changes
We may change these Conditions from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received. It is your responsibility to check regularly to see if any changes have been made to these Conditions. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw this website at any time without liability to you.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password chosen by you when you register on the website and for restricting access to your computer and/or email address to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
Description and Availability
We take all reasonable measures to ensure that details, measurements, and descriptions of products given on this website are as accurate and complete as possible but there may be variations between these and the products themselves. All products are subject to availability. In the event products are unavailable they will be cancelled from your order and you will receive a refund.
Placing an Order
You must not order products via this website if you are younger than 16 years of age. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and are subject to availability. After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and we will confirm such acceptance by sending you an email that confirms that the product has been despatched. The contract between us will only be formed when we send you the despatch notice.
Where, in our reasonable judgment, we believe that there is an error, we will be entitled to cancel your order and refund your payment. Where the error is noticed before the order is dispatched, we will use all reasonable endeavours to inform you and allow you to choose whether to re-place the order at the correct price or to have your order refunded.

Our Guarantee
It is important to us that you are delighted with all our products. If there is any reason why you are not completely satisfied with any product you order from us, you can simply return it to us – please see “Returning Products” section below. If after purchase, any product fails to give reasonable wear – due to either defective workmanship or materials we will credit the purchase price to your account. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
UK Standard Delivery
We aim to deliver all mainland UK standard delivery orders within 3 to 4 days.
Processing time varies. If the item is in stock it is usually shipped within 3 business days If the item is made to order processing time can take up to 3 months. We do everything we can to ship all orders on time Each item has a processing and shipping date included in the description
We aim to meet these timescales but during busy periods (including sale) deliveries may take a little longer.
All deliveries will be made between 07:00 and 17:00 Monday-Friday (excluding Public/Bank Holidays).
Returning Products/Refund
You can, at any time within 14 days of receiving products from us, change your mind and return to us.
No refunds or exchanges can be given on items made to your specification, made to measure items, unless there is a manufacturing defect, or the goods are not as ordered.
Refunds /exchange can take up to 28 days to process.
Guarantee
Aquariums sold are covered by a guarantee
The guarantee applies to the tightness of aquariums
We make every effort to ensure that our aquariums are of the best quality.
Leaks in very rare cases are caused by an unintentional technological error or a defect in material, glass, silicone, etc.
The guarantee against leaks varies.
Depends on the design of the aquarium and the silicone used
Basically, aquariums built using clear silicone have a maximum 24-month guarantee
Aquariums built using black silicone have a guarantee against leaks for up to 3 years.
Rimless aquariums have a guarantee of 24 months
Some of our aquariums have a longer guarantee against leaks.
This is always included in the description of the item being sold.
Such information is also included in the terms and conditions delivered to the customer together with the aquarium
The guarantee does not cover glass breakage or cracking
You must provide proof of purchase (invoice) when you submit your equipment for repair under guarantee.
According to the procedure, any leakage must be reported to us immediately by the buyer to prevent further damage and disruption. Failure to do so or neglecting to check the condition of the aquarium and/or base may result in a refusal of warranty on our part.
The aquarium with the leak should be delivered to us for a thorough inspection of the cause and location of the leak.
The inspection usually takes up to 2 weeks after which, based on the technician’s assessment, we make the necessary repairs and/or replacements.
After this time, the tank is delivered back to the customer.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, wear and tear, accidental damage, neglect, natural disaster, etc.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper positioning of the base/cabinet, stand
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper connection of filtration, plumbing, pipes, etc
This guarantee covers glass fish tank only, not the products made from wood, aluminum (cabinet, lid etc.) and plastic (pipework). .
Special care should be taken during all hydraulic installations of partitions led through holes in the aquarium
They should be properly sealed (use appropriate rubbers/gaskets) and tightened. This should not be done too tightly so as not to damage the glass
The guarantee is non-transferable.
We recommend observing the aquarium and performing frequent checks and maintenance.
Flooding of cabinets, bases are not covered by the warranty. Swelling of cabinet elements or cover from excess moisture is not covered by the warranty
Because they are located in an environment exposed to high humidity and accidental splashing of water
Report any observed irregularities as soon as possible. Otherwise, they will not be considered a defect but negligence on the part of the customer. A claim in such a situation will not be accepted
The warranty does not cover damage caused by an unstable floor. If in doubt always check with your structural engineer. Flooring should be prepared and levelled prior to delivery.
Flooring should be checked prior to delivery by a structural engineer for its suitability. Once in position you will need to monitor your flooring in case of subsidence / floor movement. Monitoring whether your build remains level should be included as part of your regular maintenance.
Your guarantee is not valid in cases where the product has been abused or not used for purpose.
Your guarantee is not valid for damage to your product caused by the misuse of cleaning materials or from repairs conducted by any other company than the manufacturers.
Aquarium stands and cabinets must be solid and non-moving, provide solid support to the base of the aquarium without sagging, and completely horizontal for the warranty to be valid. Aquariums should be placed on Styrofoam. or a foam mat – it is absolutely necessary It is your responsibility to inspect and make sure that the cabinet, stand or other base for the aquarium is strong enough and stable
The Aquarium, Cabinet, etc. must be thoroughly inspected prior to it’s removal from the delivery vehicle. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all goods are unmarked/undamaged whilst they are inside the delivery vehicle. Aquaexpert will not accept responsibility for any marks/damage/errors after leaving the delivery vehicle.
By allowing Aquaexpert to enter into your premises you are accepting liability for any damage caused to the premises during the delivery process, or from the steel toe-capped boots worn by personnel throughout the delivery.
You are responsible for ensuring the suitability of the flooring upon which your aquarium is placed.
You are responsible for ensuring that the space for your aquarium / cabinet is big enough.
Any subsidence following delivery is not the responsibility of Aquaexpert and should be rectified immediately. Re-leveling of your aquarium may be carried by you.
After receiving the aquarium, please place it in the place where it will be placed on a foam mat or Styrofoam.
Water can be added at least 2 days after receiving the aquarium
Putting water into the aquarium earlier will invalidate the guarantee of tightness of the aquarium
In rare cases, a longer waiting time is required before filling the aquarium with water.
We always inform the customer about this and follow all instructions
Post-warranty repairs are made after prior determination of their form, type, date and cost.
